A common skin condition

What is acne?

Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. It typically manifests as pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, or cysts on the face, chest, back, or other areas of the body.

Hormonal changes, excess oil production, bacteria, and certain lifestyle factors can contribute to the development of acne. While it is most prevalent during puberty, acne can affect individuals of all ages and can have a significant impact on self-esteem and emotional well-being.
